Rob, Ismail and I arrived in LA, from SLC. We got here on Wednesday, for a short trip, for some work and a friend’s wedding, and my gosh, it’s so nice to be here. We never used to like LA, until a couple years ago, and now that we have an area we like, and local friends, it’s made all the difference. We so look forward to our time here. Ismail also seems to do so much better out here. He eats and sleeps better, and we get to be out of the house with him more, because it's sunny and warm.
We went to Simon Huck’s wedding, to the lovely Phil. It was magical. It was our first Hollywood wedding, and it was like something out of a fairytale. The venue. The food. The outfits. All just beautiful. It felt surreal being at a wedding with insanely famous folks around every corner. Rob and I felt a little out of place, but so grateful to be there. It was such a beautiful evening.

It was so different from the wedding Rob and I had. We had 80 people at our wedding dinner. It was at a local SLC venue, and lasted just 3-4 hours, and it was small enough to not be intimidating. If we were to get married again, we would do just the same, but it was nice to be at a wedding that just felt like a dream.
Right!!! Can I just talk about the elephant in the ‘room’ now? My outerwear brand, Was Him, is launching tomorrow, and I'm more nervous/anxious than I’ve been in such a long time. I don’t know how it’s going to be received and if people will buy in to what I’ve designed. Putting out a brand as a celebrity is so different to how it was before all of this. I was always anxious, but now people know me and will know if I fail miserably. The stakes are so much higher, and when I think about the amount of pressure, I start to feel like I'm going to puke!!
I love the brand, and I love the branding. I’ve been working on it for almost a year now, so I know what I'm putting out there is so well considered. And, thankfully, people are responding really well to the images we’ve been posting of the coats the past couple of weeks. When we first started showing images, I worried that the trolls would really come for me, and that people would really make fun, but the response so far has been overwhelmingly positive. My gosh, I pray that continues.
We’ve offered up sign up for an early access pre-sale, and I'm relieved that so many people have signed up. I hope that everyone who wants something is able to get their hands on a piece, but we’re not making thousands upon thousands of pieces per style, so it’s going to be tight if there’s a scramble to the site. Yes, these are all the things that have been keeping me up at night, these past few days.
But, I stand by what I'm putting out there. I can’t wait to start wearing the coats out and about, when it gets colder in SLC. I have so many outfit ideas!
If you are wanting to get early access, go to the link in my bio, on the TanFrance Instagram. It starts 6pm EST. Then, full launch is the next morning, 10am EST. Please send any positive energy you can spare, my way, the next couple days. Lord knows, I'm going to need it.
Sending love your way. Have a great week and I’ll give you an update next Monday!
