HUGE Week Ahead

Before I get to what’s coming this week, I wanted to quickly tell you about my weekend. I went to San Francisco for work, which was such a fun trip. I just went for one night and a full day, to shoot a thing that I’ll be able to share with you soon, but it was nice to be in SF again. If you haven’t been, and you’re looking for somewhere great to go, I'm sure you won’t be disappointed. Mostly because of the food. And by food, I mean baked goods. I love Tartine, and their morning bun never disappoints. It was such a lovely whirlwind trip that I'm so glad I got to do.

Now, my big news. I have a HUGE announcement coming in a couple of hours, on my IG. It's about a show I'm doing with someone very, very special. I can’t wait for the world to finally know. Mostly, I just can’t keep the darn secret any longer. It’s been killing me. I’ve wanted to sing it from the rooftops for months now. Well, today is finally the day. Once you see the announcement, I truly wanna know what you think and if you’re as excited for it as I am.

Second bit of huge news. Drop 2 of my brand, Was Him, launches this Wednesday. Actually, if you’re signed up for the email updates, you get early access Tuesday evening from 6pm ET. I am OBSESSED with all 4 coats/jackets in drop 2 and can’t wait for you to get your hands on them. We are offering new pricing too. I have read so many of your messages and emails and the main concern for so many, when considering getting one of my coats, is the price. So, we’ve done all that we can to lower the cost, and we’ve lowered it a considerable amount… Well over $100 per coat. I hope this means you can get the statement coat you’ve been wanting. I wish I were able to lower the pricing even more for you, but I just couldn’t compromise the quality.

Also, we’ll now be shipping to the UK and Canada. We have had so, so many emails from people abroad, asking if we’ll ever offer shipping outside of the US. I hope that one day we’ll be able to offer shipping world wide, but for now, I'm so glad we can at least cater to you all in Canada and the UK, also.

So there you have it. That’s my big week. I honestly feel so excited for this week. I’ve lost sleep over it. Ooh, speaking of sleep, we sleep trained our baby boy and he’s finally, mostly sleeping the whole night through. We started almost 2 weeks ago, and the night nurse we have was there to help us through it all, as I was not emotionally ready to do it. The first night he woke up 4 times, and cried for just under 10 minutes. The second night be woke twice for around 5 minutes and then the third night just once. I know that’s not how it usually goes down, as it's usually so much harder, but my gosh I'm grateful for it (and our night nurse). It’s amazing how much happier he is in the daytime, now that he’s getting good sleep at night. Plus, he’s drinking and eating better. All to say, I wish we’d done this 2 months ago!!

See you next week.

Our move to New Orleans and starting to shoot Season 7 of Queer Eye

Well, folks, we made it to New Orleans. It wasn’t easy getting here, my gosh. Ismail had such a rough flight. We had been nervous about this flight for days, and were hoping that he would have a nice time and just enjoy being in a new setting. However, the flight was pretty much exactly when he takes his afternoon nap, which meant that we had ...

Cancelled London plans, extra time at home and gearing up to shoot a new Queer Eye.

Rob and I were planning to go to London for 5 days, as I had a work event there, and Rob was going to have his first proper break from watching Ismail and we could not have been more excited to be going away together. Our nanny was going to watching our son for 5 days, and we trust her completely. Actually, she probably does a better job of pare...

Back to shooting my favorite show, Next in Fashion, and celebrating my son’s first Eid.

Every time I come here to write a new post, I wanna start it by saying “wow, what a week”. I guess every week has felt a little bit nuts over recent years, and it just never gets old. That’s a good thing. I love the excitement I still feel.

It’s ok- he might not have been ready/matured enough two months ago! I’m glad you’re getting sleep!! It’s amazing how much we took sleep for granted before kids, isn’t it?? So excited for you and your week ahead! ❤️

I'm excited for you! I understand what a milestone it is when your baby first sleeps through the night. Our kids teach us about the reserves of deep patience we never knew we had and the amount we need to add to that reservoir! Best of luck on the Drop and the new show!
